Okay group, now we’re going to continue our tour and look at what makes blogs and blogging so exciting:  Comments!

“LEAVE A COMMENT” (1, 2, 3, 4)

Why should the Blogger have all the fun? At the end of every Post, you have the chance to add your 2¢ in the Comment Form. Click the picture below to enlarge it.

The comment section

Posting Comments

You must type your name (a “screen name” will do) and your e-mail address (#1).   If you have your own web site or blog page, you can type that in the URL box. If you don’t have one, just skip straight to the Comment box (#2) and let your voice be heard!

Can’t spell? Don’t worry, we cats can’t either. Any misspellings are underlined and you can correct them by moving your mouse to the bad word, click the right-button on your mouse and choose the correct the spelling. Don’t forget to click the Submit (#3) button.

If you want to know if I or others have responded to your Comment, before clicking Submit, check the Notify me of follow-up comments via email box (#4) . If you would like to be notified by e-mail when new Post has been added to the blog, check Subscribe to this site by email.

“What’s the rest of that stuff?” (5, 6, 7)

The part that says “Some HTML allowed” (#5) is for my more geeky readers who want to post comments and know how to make a web page (HTML).  You can just ignore it.

Trackbacks (#6) are ways for people who have Blogs can share comments with each other using their blogs to do it.

If you want to be told when new comments to the Post appear through RSS (see Part 1 if you forgot what RSS is), click the Subscribe to the comments via RSS Feed link (#7)

There are more ways to share what you think about a blog. That’s what makes America great! Next I’ll talk about Rating, Voting, and Sharing with some popular social network sites, followed by learning about some more blog features you may see.
