More “Need Bigger Words” – The Google Chrome Browser

One of my first–and most popular–blogs was “Need Bigger Words“.  There, I showed you nice humans how to make text bigger on the major browsers at that time.  Now, I’m going to show you how to do it on Google’s Chrome browser.

While making words bigger on an iPad, a Kindle, an Android phone or tablet is only a “finger-swipe” away, when using a computer or a laptop it’s different.

On Chrome, you can shrink or increase the web page by

  1. Clicking on the image showing 3 stacked lines (called the “Custom Control”)  in the upper-right corner of the Chrome browser window (see figure below).
  2. Go to Zoom, and click either the plus or minus signs until the page is the right size for you.
  3. Click the Custom Control button to close the pull-down window.

Of course, there is always another way to do the same thing.  For those of you out there you like to use a keyboard, just press <CTRL><+> keys together to zoom in, and <CTRL><> keys to zoom back out!
